Pips 2 is a free, fan-built browser puzzle site. We are independent and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The New York Times. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can contact us about privacy questions.

Puzzle Data Source

Some daily, archive, hint, and answer features use publicly accessible official Pips puzzle data from The New York Times Games, including puzzle date, difficulty, board layout, regions, and solution data. We use that data to help fans play, replay, and learn from Pips-style puzzles on Pips 2.

The New York Times and Pips are owned by their respective rights holders. Pips 2 does not claim to be the official Pips website, and our use of official puzzle references does not mean that we are partnered with or approved by The New York Times.

Information We Collect

You can play Pips 2 without creating an account. We may collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, comments, feedback, or support messages.

We may also collect gameplay and technical information, including puzzle date, difficulty, score, solve time, browser type, device type, pages visited, approximate location from IP address, and server logs needed to operate and secure the site.
