What does the purchase include?
The US App Store price is $3.99, paid once to download. Classic, Repair, Daily, live duels, hints, and solutions are all included. There are no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Your local App Store shows the price for your region.
Why get the app if I can play on the website?
The website lets you play free in your browser. The iPhone app adds a built-in puzzle library for offline Classic and Repair, touch controls made for iPhone, and live duels with friends. You can try the browser game before deciding to buy the app.
Can I play without an internet connection?
Classic and Repair work offline. Daily and archive boards can be played offline when available on your device. Live duels, leaderboards, and online progress updates require an internet connection.
Does unlimited play mean unlimited different puzzles?
There is no daily play limit. The built-in library contains 3,000 puzzles, and boards may repeat after you work through them.
How do live matches work?
Both players need Pips2 installed and an internet connection. Create a room, share its invite, and ready up together. The first correct solve wins the round; the first player to win two rounds wins the match.
Which puzzles earn XP?
Eligible completed puzzles in Classic, Daily, and Repair earn XP. Revealing a solution earns no XP or ranked result. Live matches record results without awarding XP.
Do I need an account? Does my progress transfer?
No email, password, or manual sign-in is required. Pips2 creates an anonymous player profile on your device. Progress does not automatically transfer to another device when you redownload the app.
I downloaded Pips2 when it was free. Do I need to pay again?
No. If you previously downloaded Pips2 while it was free, you can keep playing without purchasing it again.
Which devices can I use?
Pips2 is made for iPhone and requires iOS 17 or later. You can also play the free web game in your browser, including on Android.
